The Jackson County Parks Department is pleased to announce the hire of Dan Lusty as the new golf course superintendent at the Historic Cascades Golf Course. Dan is a native of Jackson and graduate of Lumen Christi High School and Michigan State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Crop and Soil Sciences, Turf Grass Management from Michigan State University. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and holds various certifications.
Dan comes most recently from Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, New York. Dan’s previous experience includes Shady Canyon Golf Club in Irvine, California; the Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Michigan; and Lakeland Hills Golf Course also in Jackson County Michigan.
Dan is pleased to return to Jackson and to manage an iconic course from his home town. The Parks Department is excited to have him and to see the great improvements Dan can make to one of Jackson’s finest golf venues.
