(May 28, 2022 8:16 AM) Michigan Department of Transportation will be closing an entire interchange in Parma for the summer, along with a ramp at I-94 and West Avenue in Jackson as the I-94 project continues.
MDOT will close the I-94/Michigan Avenue interchange in Parma to build a roundabout. This work is part of the I-94 Jackson project rebuilding nearly 13 miles of I-94 in Jackson, Albion, and Parma in Jackson County.
This work will require closing the I-94 BL/Michigan Avenue interchange, including all ramps. Traffic will be detoured via the Concord and Parma Road interchanges. Motorists should expect delays.
The start date is Wednesday, June 1 at 8 AM with completion scheduled for Thursday, September 1 at 5 PM.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the eastbound I-94 ramp to US-127/M-50 (West Avenue) in Jackson for ramp rebuilding.
This work is part of MDOT’s ongoing $120 million investment to rebuild and widen I-94 near the Airport Road interchange to just west of the east US-127/I-94 interchange in Blackman and Leoni Township. The I-94 project involves upgrading the US-127/M-50 (West Avenue)/I-94 interchange to a diverging diamond interchange, the Elm Road interchange with roundabouts, and the Lansing Avenue bridge over I-94.
Eastbound I-94 traffic heading for US-127/M-50 (West Avenue) will be detoured to continue on eastbound I-94 to the M-106 (Cooper Street) interchange, then westbound I-94 back to US-127/M-50 (West Avenue).
Please follow posted detours. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
The start date is Tuesday, May 31 at 7 AM with completion scheduled for Monday, June 27 at 6 PM.
