
(November 10, 2021 7:36 PM) Nine Jackson College soccer players earned Michigan Community College Athletic Association awards, including three from local high schools.
Jackson College’s women’s soccer team gained a berth in the NJCAA Region XII regional semifinal before falling to Muskegon Community College 2-0. The team finished the season with a MCCAA Conference record of 5-9-1 and overall record of 6-12-1.
Individual players recognized with honors include:
- Anna Hosmer, forward, Clark Lake, Columbia Central graduate, NJCAA All-Region XII Women’s Soccer Team, First Team All-MCCAA Women’s Soccer Awards
- Ella Moore, forward, Jackson, Jackson High graduate, Second Team All-MCCAA Women’s Soccer Awards, MCCAA Women’s Soccer All-Freshman Team
- Olivia McKellar, forward, Sparta, Sparta High graduate, Honorable-Mention Women’s Soccer All-MCCAA Team
- Abigail Badke, forward, St. Clair, St. Clair High graduate, Honorable-Mention Women’s Soccer All-MCCAA Team
- Leah Postema, Midfield, Jenison, Jenison High graduate, Honorable-Mention Women’s Soccer All-MCCAA Team





Four from the Jackson College’s men’s soccer team earned honors. The Jets finished their season with a 2-6 MCCAA Conference record, and a 2-9 overall record.
Individual players recognized with honors include:
- Shane Renshaw, midfielder, from Montrose, graduate of Clio High School; 2021 All-MCCAA Men’s Soccer Team; Freshman of the Year Award; MCCAA All-Freshman Team.
- Braden Kosmet, midfielder, from Jackson, graduate of Michigan Center High School; 2021 All-MCCAA Men’s Soccer Team.
- Ivan Ruiz, forward, from Montrose, graduate of Hill-McCloy High School; 2021 Honorable-Mention All-MCCAA Men’s Soccer Team, MCCAA All-Freshman Team.
- Brady Taylor, from Swartz Creek, graduate of Swartz Creek High School; 2021 Honorable-Mention All-MCCAA Men’s Soccer Team.
