The City of Jackson Recreation Department has announced Nixon Water Park will open for the season on Monday, June 17th. The Water Park will be open every day, except Sundays, through August 17th.
Hours of operation and swim sessions are: MONDAY THRU THURSDAY, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2:15 to 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. ($2 only). FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:15 to 5:15 p.m. SUNDAYS: CLOSED.
Admission for each session is $4.00, except the Monday thru Thursday evening session which is $2.00.
Recreation Services Coordinator Joe Hawley invites swimmers to take advantage of the 10 Swim Passes card. 10 sessions for only $32 (2 free sessions)! Passes may not be used for special events. Savings also in the Polar Bear Club. For all children ages 3 to 5 years old, you can join the “Shiver’s Polar Bear Club” and receive a “Shiver’s Club Card”. If your child swims 6 times, his/her 7th visit is free!
Senior Swim Sessions will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Seniors swim for $2.00 per session. Come ready to swim, play or lounge in our heated pool. Refreshments following. For those 50 years old and older.
Nixon Water Park has scheduled the following special events this summer:
13th Annual Luau Summer Party
- Wednesday, June 26
- 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
- $6 per ticket
Nixon will host a huge Luau Party including your choice of hotdogs or hamburgers, chips, and a drink We will also have a DJ, prizes, and family photo booth! Tickets are limited to 200 and available at Nixon. You must have a ticket to enter. No passes accepted.
Nixon Beach Blowout!

- 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
- $6 per ticket
This beach style event will be the party of the summer! Ticket includes hot dog, chips, and drink. We will have a DJ, beach themed giveaways, and more! Tickets are limited to 200 and go on sale June 17th. No swim passes accepted.
Back to School Splash Bash!

- 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
- $6 per ticket
Join us for our last pool party of the season before the kids head back to school! Ticket includes hot dog, chips, and drink! We will have a DJ and school supplies to give out! Tickets are limited to 200 and go on sale July 15th. No passes accepted.

Nixon Water Park offers Birthday Party Room Rental. June 17 thru August 17. $30 Rental Fee.
Rent the Party Room at Nixon Water Park for 3 hours for your next birthday! You must have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 people. You are welcome to bring in your own food, drink, cake and ice cream. $30 covers room rental only. Normal entrance fees apply per person.
Patrons are allowed to bring in small coolers to Nixon Park. NO GLASS CONTAINERS. There will be a picnic area and light concessions will be available for purchase in the front office.
