The Northwest Mounties varsity softball team took both ends of a doubleheader this morning at home, downing Leslie 8-7 and 9-5. Game 1 featured a dramatic comeback for the win. The Mounties scored 2 runs in the bottom of the seventh to claim victory. Today was “1988 Day”, honoring the Mountie softball squad for their appearance in the State Class B Championship game 25 years ago. During a special ceremony, the team was honored between the games.
