Tecumseh, Michigan – Come see the Nutcracker Ballet at Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) this holiday season – the only ballet performance of the Nutcracker taking place in Lenawee County this year!
This biennial tradition brings the holiday classic tale of the “Nutcracker and the Mouse King,” based on the story by E.T.A. Hoffman to life. This year’s Nutcracker Ballet performances are December 10, 11 and 12 with all your favorites including the Sugar Plum Fairies, Tin Soldiers and Kingdom of Sweets.
In collaboration with Dance Steps Studio, Dance with Heart Studios, Encore Dance Studio, Tecumseh Dance Workshop, and The Dance Center, this year’s performances include a large cast, elaborate costumes and multiple set changes.
Tecumseh Center for the Arts is proud to present this year’s performances that will showcase the ballet talents from Lenawee, Jackson and Washtenaw counties. Come see the breathtakingly beautiful artistry of this year’s performers along with the splendor of their ballet costumes, the magical display of props and lighting combined with the timeless music of Tchaikovsky.
This beautiful ballet would not be possible without the talent and dedication of our local team of choreographers including Kristen Hallberg, Helen Knierim, Anya Noveskey, Ashley Palmer and Laurie Stoianowski under the artistic direction of Annamia Rumley. Their passion and vast experience brings world-class ballet to the Tecumseh Center for the Arts every two years.
Make the Nutcracker Ballet part of your holiday traditions. Tickets are available for Thursday, December 10 at 7:30 pm, Friday, December 11 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, December 12 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and youth.
