Low pressure will track south of Lower Michigan today with the chance for strong thunderstorms across far southern Lower Michigan this afternoon. Fair and colder weather will move in on Monday and Tuesday as high pressure builds in.

Today:  Rain showers until midday, then rain showers with thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may be severe. Highs in the lower 60s. South winds 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 100 percent.

Tonight:  Rain showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then a slight chance of rain showers overnight. Lows around 40. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Monday:  Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 40s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.
