Due to re-districting of the Michigan Senate, Jackson County will become part of the 16th district in 2014, which is currently represented by Hillsdale’s Senator Bruce Caswell. Senator Caswell made his first appearance on the Bart Hawley Show today, along with current 17th District State Senator (and Senate Majority Leader) Randy Richardville. Caswell indicated he would be seeking re-election, while Richardville will be term-limited. Richardville indicated he is considering several options, including a possible run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Carl Levin.
