Women’s Peach Division
Game On 13 Financial Services and Seminars 11. Game On Scored 4 runs in the top of the 6th inning to take the lead and hung on as Financial Services gave everything they had, but came up just short. Christina Hoffius went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and Nikki Miller also went 3 for 4 with a double to lead the hitting attack for Game On who improves to 4 & 0 in the 1st round. Jill Foor went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs and plenty of moral support and Donna Lemier also went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs for Financial Services and Seminars.
Shamrock Bar 19 Precision Guides 9. Shamrock used a balanced offensive attack led by Jerika Witulski, Stacy Williams, Alixanderea Dotson and Kim Stephens who all went 3 for 4. Stacy Sharpe went 4 for 4 with a double for Precisions Guides.
Brass Rail 14 Korner Keg 11. Brass Rail came through with 8 runs in the last two innings and held off a late charge by Korner Keg in the bottom of the 7th to secure the win. Laurie “Momma” Nearpass led the hitting attack going 3 for 4 with 4RBIs and Marti “Little Sister” Kuhn went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and provided the leadership needed to pull out the win. Kristie Taylor went 3 for 4, Katie Monk went 2 for 2 and Alice Powell went 2 for 3 for Korner Keg.
Women’s Plum Division
Double Chiropractic 7 Robins Roost 1. Double Chiropractic was led by Libby Shuster, Jess “BabeZilla” Crowden, Jess Harmon and Rachel Conant who each had 3 hits in the win. Diana Furguson, Lisa McCarroll, Kasey Hogle and Sue Flowers paced Robins Roost with 2 hits each.
Moorski’s Pub 7 Mr. Tunes 2. Johanna Cavender went 3 for 3 with 2 triples and 2 RBIs and Carolyn Thornton went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs to lead Moorski’s Pub. Mr. Tunes got off to an early 2-0, but couldn’t hold on as Andrea Torrey went 2 for 3 and Steph Arver went 2 for 2 for Mr. Tunes.
Buzby Builders 12 Disturbed 6. In the game of the night Disturbed got off to an early 4 to 0 lead, but Buzby Builders exploded for 7 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning and never looked back. Hannah Watson hit 2 tape measure home runs along with a double and 5 RBIs while Allison Tello went 3 for 3 for Buzby Builders. Victoria Calkins went 3 for 3 with a double while Christy Vincent and Rae Ann Negas each went 2 for 3 for Disturbed. Buzby Builders takes a commanding 4 & 0 record heading into the final two weeks of the first round.
Men’s Tan Division
Krupa’s Boat Mart 14 Mullins Roofing 0. Kyle Simon went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles as Jordan Tuttle and Thomas Cox also went 3 for 3 while Jacob Tuttle went 2 for 3 with a Grand Slam to lead Krupa’s. Zack Prather went 2 for 2 with a double to lead Mullins Roofing.
Ironbark Brewing Co. 19 Advance Turning 4. Jason Gallatin went 3 for 3 with a double and Rich Vinton 2 for 2 with a triple while Lee Vickers went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double to lead Ironbark. Craig Strickland and Matt Wiede each homered for Advance Turning.
Home Town Convenience 26 Royal Adhesives and Sealants 6. Josh Tryon went 4 for 4 with 3 home runs and a double with 8 RBIs and Gary Conley went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs to lead Home Town Convenience. Mike Asby went 3 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs and Derek Dowding went 2 for 3 for Royal Adhesives and Sealants.
Freedom 22 Shamrock Bar 1. Berkley Philipp went 3 for 3 on his birthday while Jon Way and Zack Keeler also went 3 for 3 with a home run to lead Freedom. Corey Branda had a triple for Shamrock Bar.
