Reynolds, Zeller to Play for City Golf Championship

(June 7, 2024 9:17 PM ET) There will not be repeat participants from 2023 in the Jackson City Golf Championship on Saturday.

Nick Reynolds and Greg Zeller took care of that.

Zeller defeated defending City champion Brian Coon 5 & 4 in one semifinal match and Reynolds defeated Rob Longbrake 3 & 2 in the other semifinal Friday.

Coon and Longbrake were finalist for the City Championship in 2023 with Coon winning his second City championship.

The 36-hole final is set to start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Country Club of Jackson with the second round beginning sometime around noon.

Zeller won the City championship in 2007 with a 5 & 4 win over Fred Backiel at Arbor Hills Golf Club.

Reynolds lost to Zach DeFrain in the finals in 2022 at the County Club of Jackson.
