The Jackson County Rose Parade has announced Jackson businessman Brian Surgener as the 2016 Jackson County Rose Parade Grand Marshal.  The theme of the June 5th Parade is “Everything is Coming Up Roses”.

Brian Surgener is the owner of the Jackson Coffee Company and the Jackson Candy & Fudge Factory.  He was nominated by Windy Chimel who felt Brian deserved to be honored as the 58th Annual Rose Parade Grand Marshal because, “Brian is one of those people that Jackson is very lucky to have.  He has a successful business and in return constantly gives back generously to this community!  He truly understands what “community” means and exemplifies the word humanitarian.”

The 2016 Jackson County Rose Parade will be held on Sunday, June 5, starting at 1pm.  The route begins on Greenwood Avenue at Blair Park and continues south on Fourth Street to Ella Sharp Park.  The Rose Parade is looking for more parade entries and there is no fee to enter.  Parade forms are available on the Rose Festival’s website at www.Jacksonrosefestival.org.
