(September 19, 2020 10:13 PM) For the second straight day, the Spring Arbor University men’s golf team took home the top spot, finishing first at the Irish Hills Intercollegiate #2 on Saturday at the Grande Golf Club in Jackson.
Spring Arbor won the event with a team score of 295 – 11 strokes better than second place Trine University. The Cougars’ 295 was also the program’s best team score since shooting a 290 in in the fall of 2018.
Junior Trevor Rupp (Archbold, OH/Archbold) finished at the top of the individual leaderboard with a one-under par 71, earning medalist honors for the second time in his career. Sophomores Rory Myers (Wayland, MI/Wayland Union) and Sean Vann (Jackson, MI/Western) followed in second and third place with a 73 and 74, respectively.
