Numerous Jackson High School student athletes earned honors for the fall 2024 season.

Cyron Stamper, Shae Haehnle, Bryce Nastally, and Jayden Potter earned first-team all-conference honors in the Southeastern Conference.

Charles Johnson, Jaiden Ramirez, Kylin Davis, and Oscar Chavez also earned honorable-mention awards in football.

Stamper and Haehnle also earned all-district honors in Division 3. The Vikings made the playoffs in Division 3 losing to Mason in the opening round of the Michigan High School Athletic Association football playoffs.

In volleyball, Bryleigh Ziegenfuss was voted all-conference in the Southeastern Conference. Kiayle Harrell and Lily Gronski were honorable-mention players and Alexis Bennett earned the sportsmanship award for the Vikings.

Jackson recently finished second in SEC swimming this fall as Isabelle Ortiz was second in the 100-yard butterfly 1:04 and Grace Dawson was second in diving with a school-record 409.05.

Catherine Kestner earned the SEC White Division Sportsmanship Award for girls swimming for Jackson.

Grace Dawson and Ava Martins qualified for the MHSAA D-1 state diving finals by finishing in the top 14 at regionals. Dawson finished fourth for the Viking beating 36 other divers at the regional.

The state finals begins at noon Friday at Holland Aquatic Center.

Grace Dawson – a Western High School student who swims on the Jackson High School cooperative team – recently finished fourth at the Division 1 diving regional to qualify for the state meet.
