The Splash Pad is now open at the Cascades Falls, Sparks Foundation County Park. Contractors finished the final installations and testing earlier this week and Jackson County According to Jackson County Parks Director Jeff Hovarter, the Splash Pad staff is trained and prepared to welcome guests.
On Thursday, June 29, a 10 a.m. event will be held to recognize the donors and celebrate the project. Following the event, a public grand opening celebration will take place at 11 a.m. that will include free pizza and ice cream provided by the Kiwanis Club of Jackson.
The Splash Pad includes more than a dozen water features, including cannons, water guns, spray loop, giant bucket and a series of jet streams that spray out of the ground. Within the fenced area, a patio area with lounge chairs and shade provide parents a place to enjoy the facility.
Normal Splash Pad Hours 11 a.m. -7 p.m. (Monday-Saturday) Noon-6 p.m. (Sunday). Wednesday Family Nights will offer extended hours of 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Regular Admission Rate (ages 4 and up) is $2.00, Children’s Rate (ages 3 & under) free.
Regular Cascades admission rates take effect at 7 p.m. Fireworks Night Regular Cascade admission rates take effect at 6 p.m.
The Cascades is offering 2017 Season Passes and Group Rates for the Splash Pad. Individual Season Pass $20.00, Family* $75.00 (limited to 2 adults and up to 4 children 18 years of age and under living in the same household). Splash Pad Group Rates 20-50 $1.75/person, 50 and up 1.50/person. Those interested in group rates are asked to call ahead Mon – Fri at 517-768-2901.
