(June 26, 2023 9:35 AM ET) Spring Arbor University today announced the launch of their SAU Cougar Commitment, a free tuition initiative for eligible incoming Fall 2023 undergraduate students.

“We believe all students should have access to a quality, Christ-centered education,” said Jon Bahr, SAU’s Vice President of Enrollment Management. “Thanks to new programs like the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, we are able to provide the SAU Cougar Commitment, allowing qualified incoming Fall 2023 students to choose a top-tier 4-year institution by covering costs for full-time tuition and fees.”

Incoming students are eligible for the SAU Cougar Commitment if they are eligible for the maximum Federal Pell Grant, the full Michigan Achievement Scholarship, and the full Michigan Tuition Grant, and filed their FAFSA before May 1, 2023. Students must have graduated high school in spring of 2023 and had a GPA of 3.0 upon graduation. Students must also be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours in a traditional Bachelor’s degree program for both fall and spring semesters and maintain at least a 2.8 GPA at Spring Arbor University.

In today’s announcement, Spring Arbor University said it is continuously working to make a premier Christ-centered education an option for students. Last year, SAU awarded over $16 million dollars in institutional financial aid, making it an affordable choice for Michigan families.
