Spring Arbor University’s volleyball team landed five players on the All-Crossroads League Teams, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Sophomore libero Stephaney Fifield was named to the first team. Sydney Ritz was selected to the second team. Claudia Ellis, Alison Ford and Annica Stotz all received honorable mention recognition. Ellis was also chosen to the all-freshmen team.
Spring Arbor University finished the season with an overall record of 17-12, the most wins in a single-season since 2011. It was also the programs first winning record since 2010.
It was a tough conference this year, with 25th ranked Marian vying for the top spot. They posted a 15-3 conference mark, followed closely by Saint Francis and Indiana Weslyan. Who were 15-3 and 14-4 respectively.
Spring Arbor finished in the top five in both Service Aces/Set and in Blocks/Set. With two players as young and talented as Ellis and Fifield, the sky is the limit for the Cougars.
