
BATH, Mich. – Spring Arbor University freshman Madison Waldie (Traverse City, MI / Central HS) capped off her outstanding freshman campaign with a record-setting performance at the 2017 Crossroads League Championship, held at Eagle Eye Golf Course.
After shooting a 170 during Monday’s first two rounds, Waldie posted an 86 over the final 18 holes giving her a tournament total of 256 – breaking the program’s previous 54-hole record by six strokes. She finished the event in ninth place overall.
Spring Arbor, which entered Tuesday in eighth place, turned in its best team score of the tournament. The Cougars finished seventh in the team standings following its final round 367 to finish the two-day event with a total score of 1119 – a program record for 54-hole team score.
