Stockbridge Looks To Get Back to Winning Ways in 2026

(8-11-2026, 12:00PM): After a slight improvement to 4-5 last season, the Stockbridge Panthers look to continue to get back to a winning record and hopefully a playoff spot in 2026.

Stockbridge went 4-5 in 2025 after finishing 3-6 in 2024, the Panthers have not made the playoffs since 2016 (excluding 2020 COVID season) and have not won a playoff game since 2010. After being a member of the Big 8 conference for three years, Stockbridge will be making a move to a new league starting in the 2027-28 school year. SHS, along with Hillsdale HS, is set to join the Cascades Conference with East Jackson and Homer swapping and joining the Big 8.

Jeremy Killinger is returning for his 25th season at the helm of the Panthers. Killinger is one of the three longest serving head coaches in the area, alongside Grass Lake’s Randy Cole and Lumen Christi’s Herb Brogan. Gary Teague serves as the team’s defensive coordinator.

Key players for the Panthers include seniors Domenic Ciminelli (RB/LB), Aidan Bradley (WR/DB), Wesley Reecy (OL/DL), Eric Allision (OL/DL), and Elijah Muzzin (QB/WR/DB). Juniors Kaleb Regan (WR/DB), Tommy Bills (RB/DB), Lucas Heinzman (OL/DL) will also be key players.

Sophomores expected to make an impact this year include Evan Lockhart (RB/LB), Vince Rogozinski (WR/LB), Parker Sandecki (WR/DB), Jacob Lester (OL/DL), and Hunter Kunzelman (OL/DL).

Stockbridge opens the season at home with the rivalry game vs Leslie. The Leslie-Stockbridge game is the oldest rivalry in the state of Michigan and dates back to 1950, Leslie has won the game seven straight years.

Skill positions and leadership on the line will be a strength for the Panthers this season.
