(February 28, 2022 10:12 AM) Country Boots & Bands and The Michigan Theater today announced Girl Named Tom will perform at The Michigan Theatre on April 22, 2022.
Girl Named Tom is an American folk trio from Pettisville, Ohio, consisting of siblings Caleb, Joshua, and Bekah Liechty. They are the winners of season 21 of the NBC talent competition The Voice, with the distinction of being the first trio to win The Voice.
During the 2021 season, they landed 4 songs concurrently on the iTunes Top 10 charts, with 2 songs reaching #1, plus they received praise from both mentor Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande, who stated, “They are the most special thing I have seen on this show”.
The band, established in 2019, began by touring the country in their old minivan, playing 67 shows in 27 cities.
According to the band’s website, the name is based on a childhood nickname. Joshua used to call Bekah “Thomas” when she was a baby.
In 2022, Girl Named Tom plans to release a full-length album.
Tickets for Girl Named Tom go on sale Friday, March 4, 2022 at 9 AM. Tickets are $44, $34, and $24. Tickets can be purchased in person and at michigantheatre.org.
Doors open at 6 PM, showtime is 7 PM on April 22, 2022.
