(3-4-2025, 10:50PM): A seven point rally with two minutes left in the 4th helped Lumen Christi pull off a comeback win on Tuesday night, advancing after a 47-44 victory over Stockbridge at Ithaca High School.

Stockbridge took command of the opening quarter, scoring nine straight points to take an 11-8 lead after the first. Brock Rochow scored four of the nine for the SHS Panthers.

Just one three-pointer was made in a low-scoring second quarter, with both teams taking the lead back-and-forth. Freshman Broden Burgess scored four of the nine points in the second for Lumen Christi as they tied it up at 17 apiece at the half.

Ashton Callan scored seven points for the Titans in the third quarter, but the size advantage of Stockbridge became a major presence. Shannon Henderson led the Panthers in the game with five blocks. Three-pointers from Zac Rogozinski and Noah Sandecki helped Stockbridge cut it to just a 33-30 LC lead after three quarters.

Stockbridge began to pull away in the final quarter, leading by seven with two minutes to play, but the Titans didn’t shy away. Back-to-back threes from Amarion Clay and five points from Timmy Crowley, including a three to take the lead, helped Lumen rally late.

The Titans held on and came away with a 47-44 victory in the Regional Semifinal on Tuesday night over Stockbridge. Lumen Christi was led by Ashton Callan with 15 points, Amarion Clay and Timmy Crowley added 11 and 9 points respectively. Brock Rochow scored 14 points to lead Stockbridge.

“Ashton (Callan) played incredible the entire second half. We knew we had to pressure their guards, and we created a lot of turnovers” said LC Head Coach Josh Tropea. “It will be a much different game on Thursday against a very good Ovid team”.

LCCHS will face Ovid-Elsie in the MHSAA D3 Regional Final on Thursday night at 7pm at Ithaca High School.
