(8-11-2025, 12:00PM): After an 0-9 season in 2024, the Trojans look to exceed expectations with goals of making the playoffs.
Chad Duffing is entering his first year with the Trojans after getting the head coaching job in the spring. He brings over a decade’s worth of experience as an assistant coach, most recently at Springport and Manchester.
Some key Trojans sets to make a return include KJ Oliver (WR/DB), Diego Hernandez (OL/DL), and Alex Lewin (RB/LB).
With the new head coach, comes a fresh staff as well. Offensive coordinator, Casey Ruthenburg, coached as a volunteer for the last 10 years at Manchester and coached Dearborn Heights in 2013. The defensive coordinator responsibilities will be handled by Duffing and Chris Goodloe. Goodloe has experience coaching out of state in Colorado, Manitou Springs as well as locally at Eaton Rapids and Parma Western.
The Trojans goals for the season are to win, to exceed expectations, as well as make the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
“We plan to build this program one day at a time and get 1% better every rep, every day, and every game,” said Ruthenburg.
