The Michigan Department of Transportation will be resuming construction on two bridges on I-94 in Jackson County.  On Monday, June 6, as part of the bridge work, M-99 and Gibbs Road, just east of Albion, will be closed.  A detour will be posted when the two bridges are closed.

In addition, there will be intermittent, daytime single lane closures on I-94 in this location between 9 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily, Monday through Thursday.

Also on Monday, bridge work is expected to begin on Lansing Avenue over I-94 in Jackson. The bridge beams were damaged last year as the result of the bridge being hit by an oversized truck.   On Lansing Avenue, one lane will be maintained in each direction on the north side of the bridge.

On I-94, it is anticipated there will be a full freeway closure at night on Wednesday, June 8, and Thursday, June 9, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night to remove and set beams at the bridge. A detour will be posted when the freeway is closed.
