Jonesville 38, Homer 22: John Milks ran for 3 touchdowns, 232 yards and returned a punt for a TD to lead the Comets. JHS travels to Hanover Horton for a big Cascades-West matchup next Friday.

Leslie 40, Grass Lake 22: Jackson Fossitt had another exceptional night at QB for the Blackhawks, throwing for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns plus a rushing TD. Evan Dexter scored 2 TDs. Leslie is now 4-0 and hosts 4-0 Michigan Center in a massive Cascades matchup next week.

Springport 35, Vermontville Maple Valley 0: Springport is now 4-0 on the year and completed its third shutout through the first four games. Kaden Woymae ran for over 100 yards and two touchdowns for SHS. The Spartans travel to Sand Creek next Friday.

Vandercook Lake 17, Addison 16: Vandercook is now 3-1 on the year and earned their second Cascades victory on Friday. VCL hosts Homer next Friday.

Lumen Christi 41, Detroit U of D Jesuit 6: LC is now 2-2 on the season and hosts Dearborn Divine Child next Friday as they continue Catholic League play.

Michigan Center 43, Manchester 8: The Cardinals have now scored just under 200 points through four games, they continued to dominate on Friday and move to 4-0. QB Hadyn Hinkle went 11/14 with 307 yards passing for 4TD’s for MC. The top receivers for the Cardinals were Brennan Forward with 5 receptions for 108 yards and 1 TD, and Tre Collins with 5 receptions for 173 yards and 2 TD’s. They travel to Leslie for a massive Cascades matchup next week for what could be an early decider for the winner out of the east division.

Hanover Horton 30, Columbia Central 14: Kolin Griffiths had 3 interceptions to lead the HH Comets defense, and JJ Russ returned two kickoffs of over 90 yards for TDs in the first half. Hanover Horton moves to 2-2 and hosts Jonesville next week.

Britton Deerfield 66, Concord 36: QB Gavin Riske threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns for the Yellowjackets. Concord is now 2-2 and hosts Morenci for homecoming next Friday.

Hastings 22, Western 14: Hastings scored with under four minutes left to take an I-8 road victory on Friday. Western falls to 1-3, the worst start for the Panthers since 2016 after starting 1-0. WHS hosts Coldwater for homecoming next week.

Ypsilanti Community 50, Jackson 29: The Grizzlies led 29-22 at halftime and scored 21 in the second half to defeat the Vikings on Pink Viking night. Jackson is now 1-3 and hosts Tecumseh next Friday in another SEC-White contest.
