Michigan Center 36, Leslie 32: After scoring a touchdown with under a minute left, Leslie recovered an onside kick but fumbled the next play. Michigan Center survived a thrilling game to stay undefeated at 5-0. MC wins a major Cascades-East game but is now one of two teams (Napoleon) still with an undefeated conference record going into week six. Leslie falls to 4-1, they led 20-8 at halftime and allowed over 20 points unanswered in the third quarter. QB Hadyn Hinkle went 12/21 with 171 yards passing and 2 TD’s and 2 interceptions for Michigan Center, Jack Layher had 9 tackles and Chris Fox who had 7 tackles and 3 sacks. Mason Bradley also chipped in with 5 tackles and 2 sacks.

 

Stockbridge 32, Reading 20: QB Noah Sandecki threw two touchdown passes and also ran for two with 127 rush yards to lead Stockbridge. Jayson Conant added 76 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

 

Concord 70, Morenci 20: QB Gavin Riske threw for 228 yards and 3 TDs to lead the Yellowjackets on homecoming. Trenton Frazer also scored three touchdowns for Concord as they improved to 3-2.

 

Hanover Horton 28, Jonesville 14: QB Devin Bevier rushed for two touchdowns to lead the HH Comets. Kolin Griffiths and Austyn Hocter each added a touchdown as the Comets picked up a key Cascades-West victory.

 

Northwest 30, Marshall 26: Jeff Miller walked it off with just nine seconds left to score a touchdown and win an I-8 battle at home on Friday for Northwest. Roe DeDeauz ran for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Mounties. Northwest improves to 2-3 on the season.

 

Homer 14, Vandercook Lake 12: Homer picks up a big Cascades-West victory on the road in a low-scoring affair. Vandercook falls to 3-2 overall.

 

Dearborn Divine Child 17, Lumen Christi 13: Lumen Christi falls to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in Catholic League play. Dearborn DC stays undefeated at 5-0 and has only allowed Lumen’s 13 points all season.

 

Napoleon 24, Manchester 8: The Pirates ran for over 400 yards in the home game. Brenton Owen led NHS with 146 rushing yards and 2 interceptions on defense, Zavier Skog added 125 rushing yards. Napoleon picks up a Cascades-East victory and remains undefeated in the conference alongside Michigan Center, the two will meet in Week 8.

 

Columbia Central 56, Addison 26: Julian Boardman ran for 126 yards and 3 TD’s for the Golden Eagles. Cyler Neelis added 138 yards and 2 TD’s.

 

Coldwater 28, Western 21: QB Lincoln Levy passed for 138 yards and a touchdown along with a rushing TD for the Panthers. Western falls to 1-4 overall.
