Springport 53, Stockbridge 0: Springport scored 32 points in the 2nd quarter to help dominate the game and earn a Big 8 victory, plus improve to 6-0. QB Gibson Overweg threw for 213 yards and 4 touchdowns on just seven passing attempts. Kaden Woyame rushed for 113 yards for the Spartans. Tucker Wiginton, Kolton Woyame and Easton Merrill also scored for Springport.

 

Jonesville 20, Addison 0: John Milks had 28 carries for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Comets. Harper Griffith led the team in tackles with 7 and Ian Doyle had 4 carries for 81 yards and a TD.

 

Manchester 30, Leslie 29: With under a minute left to play, Leslie responded with a TD from Manchester’s go-ahead touchdown just seconds earlier. But, the Dutchmen’s special teams defense made a stop on the PAT to win a huge Cascades-East game at home. Leslie loses its second Cascades-East game and Manchester improved to 3-3.

 

Jackson 26, Monroe 20: Jackson held a 20-0 lead after the 1st half, and held off Monroe late in the 2nd half to win an SEC matchup at home on senior night. Kylin Davis led the Vikings, passing and rushing for a TD and caught an interception on defense.

 

Hanover Horton 54, Homer 6: JJ Russ and Ledgar Inman each rushed for 2 touchdowns to lead the Comets. 6 different players scored a TD for Hanover Horton; they are still undefeated in the Cascades-West.

 

Columbia Central 60, Vandercook Lake 13: CC rushed for over 350 yards as a team on homecoming on Friday. QB Conor Rentfrow went 11/13 passing for 201 yards and 3 TDs for the Golden Eagles. Julian Boardman and Bauston Pilaczynski each rushed for over 100 yards and each scored a rushing touchdown.

 

Napoleon 30, Grass Lake 6: The Pirates stay undefeated in Cascades conference play and improved to 4-2 overall with the road win. NHS ran for just under 300 yards with Jayden Servis, Bryce Bailey and Carson Warner all scoring. Napoleon hosts Leslie (both 4-2) next Friday. A win by the Pirates over Leslie would guarantee the Week 8 winner of Napoleon/Michigan Center takes the East division and plays for the conference championship in Week 9.

 

Lumen Christi 14, Toledo St. Francis 7: The Titans earn a huge Catholic League victory to improve to 3-3 overall. Paul Sattler and Wes Learned scored the touchdowns for LC. Sattler ran for 223 yards and QB Benny Gaston passed for over 200 yards. LCCHS hosts Newmarket Huron Heights (Ontario, CA) next Friday.
