(December 1, 2024 10:25 PM ET) Jackson College is presenting 3 Holiday Concerts this week showcasing Vocal Point on Monday, the Jackson College/Community Concert Band on Tuesday and the touring “Christmas in the Air” production on Saturday.

Holiday Caroling Concert with Vocal Point set for Dec. 2

Join Jackson College’s premier concert choir, Vocal Point, for an evening of carols and holiday favorites! They will perform a free concert on Monday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Jets Hangar.

Vocal Point is comprised of Jackson College students under the direction of Dr. Richard Hintze.

Jackson College presents: Happy Holidays and a Merry Tuba Christmas to All on Dec. 3

The Jackson College/Community Concert Band, Jazzy Jets, and the return of Tuba/Euphonium Christmas Carols will fill the air with cheer on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in the Potter Center’s Harold Sheffer Music Hall at 7 p.m.

This free holiday concert event features selections including “White Christmas,” “Big Noise from the North Pole,” “Stars and Stripes for Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” and Mannheim Steamroller’s interpretation of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” bringing flair and fun to the forefront. Find your Christmas Sweater, Rudolph noses, and Reindeer headbands, and join in the fun.

‘Christmas in the Air’ at Potter Center Dec. 7

Experience the magic of the season as the Potter Center at Jackson College presents “Christmas in the Air” on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. This awe-inspiring holiday production promises an unforgettable evening of precision dance, Broadway-caliber entertainment, and festive cheer for audiences of all ages.

“Christmas in the Air” brings a snow globe to life with dazzling performances by synchronized, high-kicking dancers reminiscent of the famed Rockettes, accompanied by world-class singers and actors. Featuring special appearances by Santa and his holiday friends, the show is a heartfelt celebration of the season, wrapped in an enchanting story told by two of Santa’s most mischievous elves.

This Broadway-style variety production is filled with timeless holiday classics and contemporary hits, paired with stunning choreography, intricate costumes, and delightful audience participation moments. The show is designed to deliver joy, laughter, and the magic of Christmas to every member of the family.

Created by Jeb K. Rand, an internationally acclaimed writer, producer, and director, “Christmas in the Air” is the result of over 30 years of entertainment excellence. Rand’s career spans figure skating as a U.S. team member, performing on global stages, and directing celebrated productions worldwide, including eight years with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall.
