(April 21, 2020 7:50 AM) The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close eastbound I-94 at the westbound M-60 ramp beginning Thursday night for M-60 bridge demolition. This work is part of the ongoing I-94 Corridor Project.

These nighttime closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Additionally, on Friday night, westbound I-94 will be reduced to one lane and the eastbound M-60 ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed and detoured.

Eastbound I-94 traffic will be detoured to westbound M-60 to the Michigan Avenue exit and then back to eastbound M-60 to eastbound I-94.

M-60 traffic heading for westbound I-94 will be detoured to eastbound M-60 to eastbound I-94, then the Airport Road exit and back to westbound I-94.

Follow posted detours. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

This road construction project is an essential function. Transportation workers in the field follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines to limit their risk of getting sick.
