We wish them a lifetime of success.”

Thanks to several local organizations, MIS Cares raised $6,000 of the $12,000 through a scholarship match challenge. Christoff & Sons Floor Covering Inc., CP Federal Credit Union, R.W. Mercer Co., Childrenz Challenge, Iott Insurance, Michigan Community Credit Union, OmniSource and Spring Arbor University each donated $500, and Orbitform and the Dryden Family Foundation each provided $1,000 towards the MIS Cares Scholarship Program.

Thanks to support from the community, MIS Cares has been able to award $36,000 in scholarships to local high school students in the first four years of the program.

In addition, Dan Burch was awarded the Michael J. Carpenter Award for his dedication to creating a lifetime of memories for the guests on race weekend. The Michael J. Carpenter Award celebrates the legacy of Mike Carpenter by acknowledging the selfless performance of an individual who consistently promotes the speedway’s mission and performs tirelessly for the greater good of MIS. As part of the award, the Saint Louis Center was presented a $500 donation from MIS Cares thanks to Burch’s dedication to the non-profit service organization.
