Consumers Announces Gas Plant Purchase

Consumers Energy Vice President of Generation Engineering and Services Dennis Dobbs and Manager of Media Relations Dan Bishop announced today the planned purchase of the former Kinder Morgan natural gas plant in Jackson. The plant, currently owned by DPC Juniper,  opened in 2002  to generate and sell electricity. The 540 megawatt natural gas plant sits on the site of the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, which opened in 1937 and closed in 1984.  Other guests:  Jeff Matzen, Matzen Financial with "Money Matters";  In the Kitchen with Lisa Spampinato;  United Way of Jackson County campaign chairs Dave Kreger and Terry Mierzwa;  Kelly Burr and Rachel Wingle, Shop Rat;  Brian Surgener, Jackson Coffee Company, Drawings of the Month.

Federal Student Aid Resources Available
