Napoleon alum Brittany Leutz scores 10 for Albion in upset win over Hope

Napoleon alum Brittany Leutz, a first-year student at Albion College, scored 10 points Wednesday night to help the Britons stun sixth-ranked Hope College, 83-77, in overtime.   Leutz hit a pair of 3-point baskets in the game, including one that forged a tie at 66 with two minutes left in regulation.   Leutz has scored in double figures in the last three games to raise her scoring average to 5.3 through 18 games. Jackson College to Host Traveling Black History Museum Exhibit

Jackson College will welcome the True Black History Museum traveling exhibit to campus for one day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16. It is part of the College’s Black History Month activities. The True Black History Museum features a collection of rare and authentic artifacts, dating from the late 1700s to the 21st century. The collection was established to preserve the history of black people and to educate others of the many great contributions that black people have made to mankind. It includes more than 1,000 authentic artifacts, including original documents from historic figures such as Booker T. Washington, Mary McLeod Bethune, George Washington Carver, Rosa Parks, President Barack Obama, and many other great African-Americans. It celebrates and highlights contributions of African- Americans in the arts, sciences, sports, entertainment, education and politics. Learn more about it at www.trueblackhistory.com. The traveling exhibit will be on display in Bert Walker Hall, Community Rooms 144-145. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
