Clear Skies and Warm Temperatures

An area of high pressure will remain over the region today through Tuesday providing most regions with mostly clear skies and warm temperatures.  A low pressure system will track eastward through the Great Lakes Region Wednesday through Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will accompany the passage of this system. A cooler Canadian airmass arrives for the weekend. Today:  Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. West winds around 5 mph. Tonight:  Mostly clear. Lows around 60. West winds around 5 mph. Tuesday:  Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. West winds around 5 mph. Tuesday Night:  Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. Light winds. Wednesday:  Mostly sunny until midday then becoming partly sunny. A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. Light winds. Yesterday’s high temperature in Jackson was 85 at 4:53 PM.  The low was 53 at 4:26 AM. The Jackson District Library invites you to Join in the celebration of our 5th Annual Karen Veramay District Wide LEGO Contest.  This year’s theme is LEGO book report – create a LEGO masterpiece based on your favorite book. Points will be awarded based on creativity, ingenuity, and originality. Please only submit original creations and not kits.  Drop off your creation at any of JDL’s 13 branches during the week of July 31st to enter the contest.  Contact your local branch for more information about contest entry deadlines and parties.Prizes a warded for 1st and 2nd place in two age groups – 0-9 and 10-17 year olds. For more information contact your local branch or Carnegie Youth Services at 517-788-4087 ext 1331. Yoga at Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and Friday at 8:30 am.  Join Yoga instructor Jeanette Lamphere and learn the basics of yoga.  Suggested donation $3. Intended for adults.  The City of Jackson Summer Playground Experience continues today and runs through Thursday, 10am to 4:30pm.  The Recreation Department hosts an organized and supervised program at Cascades School (1200 S. Wisner) and Kiwanis Park (1521 Blakely).  Register on site at any time. Lunch and activities at the park, plus field trips…
