Red Cross Blood Drive.11:00 AM – 3:45 PM. St John's Church, 801 S. Mechanic Street, Jackson. Blood donations are typically down in summer, but the need never declines. The Nixon Water Park is open with sessions today: 11 AM to 2 PM, 2:15 PM to 5:15 PM and 5:30 PM to 7 PM. $4 per person. Evening session is $2. Ten swim passes are available for $32 (2 free sessions). There is a picnic area and light concessions are available for purchase. Patrons are allowed to bring in small coolers (no glass containers). Nixon Water Park, 400 East North Street. Tobacco Free Support Group. The Jackson Tobacco Reduction Coalition and the Smoke Free Health Action Team are pleased to promote the services of a new FREE peer led support group in Jackson County.
