By, Gabriel Schray | JTV Sports | December 18th, 2018 Fifteen Local to Jackson Athletes made the Detroit Free Press All-State Football teams. He then named off dozens as honorable mentions for the eight divisions- who he believed deserved a nod, even though they were not placed on a team. The 2010 Michigan Sports Writer of the Year, McCabe has won several state and national awards. More than anything, the point of us covering his list is to make it easy for local fans, families and friends to find the athletes who were named to the daunting all-state teams.
