Titans Football Competing in D6 in 2024

David Rice | JTV Sports Wednesday August 28th   (8-28-2024, 12:00PM): Lumen Christi came into 2023 with a new conference and new opponents, but ended in the same ultimate goal: winning back-to-back state championships. 2023 was the first year Lumen Christi athletic teams competed in the Catholic High School League (CHSL). The Catholic High School League is the largest Catholic sports league in the U.S. with 33 private high schools located throughout southeast Michigan.  Longtime Head Coach Herb Brogan returns for his 45th season at the helm of the Titans. “Great knowledge and easy to trust. Can talk to him on or off the field” the players said of Brogan.  Key returners for the Titans include seniors Kadale Williams (RB/DB, Central Michigan University commit), Timmy Crowley (QB), Issac Rehberg (FB/LB), Charley Saunders (TE/DE), Logan Decker (TE/LB), Andy Salazar (Lineman/K), Josh DuMont (DB/RB), Cassius Griffin (FB/LB), Drew Sweeney (OL/DL), and junior Antwon Baker (OL/DL).  Newcomers expected to make an impact for Lumen Christi include seniors Adam Fuller (DB), Mason Herney (DB), Kenyon Bushinski (LB), Andy Matthews (OL/DL), and Tim Smiley (OL/DL). Juniors Sean Walicki (LB), Keegan Grandy (OL/DL), and Hayden Rhinehart (OL/DL) are also expected to make an impact in 2024.…

JTV Sports Jackson County Scoreboard August 27, 2024

Volleyball Hanover-Horton 3, Concord 0: The Comets earned a home win against Concord Tuesday, 25-13, 25-21, and 25-19. Iyla Weeks led Concord with 11 kills, Bradie Lehman finished with 12 digs and 11 assists, and Annie Saenz added seven assists. Northwest Quad: The Mounties went 2-1 on the night with wins over Leslie and Lincoln and a loss to Pinckney. Lucy Bivens had four kills against Lincoln, Addison Moore tallied seven kills against Leslie, and Morgan Osterberg dished 10 assists against Pinckney. Napoleon at Sand Creek Quad: Napoleon High School split with Onsted and Sand Creek and lost to Manchester in a tri-meet at Sand Creek.  Western Tri-Meet: The Panthers went overtime but lost to Eaton Rapids 35-33 in a wild game three. Western defeated Battle Creek Central 25-18 and 25-9 in the other match. Bayli Stewart finished with 22 kills, Becca Brushaber tallied 32 assists, and J.J. Lewis finished with 18 digs for Western.
