BlueRide Cycle Studio Grand Opening.  6 PM  Join us for the Grand Opening of BlueRide Cycle Studio, a rhythm based cycle studio for all fitness levels.  Specializing in themed rides and fun choreography.  Not your average spin class!  2630 Kibby Road, in the Kibby Cobb Plaza, Jackson. Fresh Food Distribution. 1:30 PM.  Jackson First United Methodist Church.  Our church hosts a Fresh Food Distribution on the second Monday of each month, providing free, healthy groceries to neighbors in our community—no cost, no questions asked. HS Basketball Regional Finals; Springport Falls Short, Concord Wins First Regional Title Since 1990

MHSAA BOYS BASKETBALL REGIONAL FINALS DIVISION 4 at Concord Concord 55, Petersburg Summerfield 39: The Bulldogs only came within 8 points of Concord after the first quarter, the Yellowjackets commanded from the opening tip off to win a regional title in front of the home fans on Thursday night. Jett Smith led Concord with 25 points, including a red hot start with 15 of those points in the first quarter. Darrell Dean Jr. added 11 points and Connor Stevens scored 10 points. After a heartbreaker last year, Concord wins its first boys basketball regional title since 1990. CHS will face Colon (22-4) in the state quarterfinal on Tuesday (3/10) at Portage Northern HS.   DIVISION 3 at New Lothrop Flint New Standard 61, Springport 53: The game was tight the entire way, but a late lead change in favor of FNS was the ultimate decider as Springport falls just short in New Lothrop. Dallas Higelmire led the Spartans with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. Jake Kregel added 13 points. Springport finishes the season at 20-6 overall, including the first Big 8 conference title in over 30 years and first district title since 1999.

Friday, March 6 Jackson Antique & Collectible Show.  10 am to 5 pm.  ​​​American 1 Event Center, Keeley Park, 200 W. Ganson St. Jackson.  The Jackson Antique Collectible Show​ h as been running for over 25 years now and ​is a very unique show where you'll find anything from Glassware, Cast Iron Cookware, Furniture, Bird Houses, Dolls, Toys, Beer Signs, Jewelry (Antique & New), Primitives, Socks, Walking Canes, Knifes, Books, Coins, Antiques, Hunting / Fishing, Candles, Bedding / Blankets, Tools, Breads, Pies, Wood Carvings, Sweat / T-shirts, Figurines, NASCAR, Flea Market Finds, Treasures and More.  Admission $5.00 per person and kids under 12 FREE with an Adult. Grand River Farmers Market Read-In. 10 AM to 2 PM.  Join JDL at the Grand River Farmers Market at Found Church for a Read-In! Read-ins are a fun way to show your support of literacy by reading in a public place. Bring your own book or visit JDL's onsite pop-up library! Reading on-site for 15 minutes earns attendees a Get Caught Read-In button. Library staff will present a children's storytime at 11 AM.
