
(January 9, 2024 10:22 AM ET) Job seekers can jumpstart their career in manufacturing and get paid to learn with a new collaboration between Jackson College and Advance Turning & Manufacturing.
In eight weeks of paid training, applicants can have a career in the CNC/machining field Advance Turning and Manufacturing manufactures products for the aerospace and medical industries, among others.
All those interested are invited to learn more and apply at a hiring event on Jan. 10 from 3-6 p.m. at Jackson’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center, 1107 Adrian St., Jackson MI 49203. Jackson College and Michigan Works! southeast staff will be available to explore possible job training dollars available. Students who complete the eight-week training will receive an Introduction to Manufacturing certificate from Jackson College.
Advance Turning has three plants in Jackson and one in Westland. Second and third shift positions available. Apply in person or online.
