Showers and thunderstorms are expected mainly this afternoon.  Some storms could even become severe farther southeast towards Jackson before precipitation completely exits the area this evening. This will be followed by cool temperatures and some rain showers near the lakeshore with highs in the 60s for much of the week.

Tonight:  Partly cloudy. A 50 percent chance of rain showers in the evening. Lows in the lower 50s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday:  Mostly sunny until midday then becoming partly sunny. Highs around 70. West winds 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday Night:  Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 40s. West winds 5 to 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Wednesday:  Partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of rain showers. Highs in the mid 60s. Light winds.
