Cooler weather is expected through the weekend and in fact through at least the first half of next week too. A cold front will come through the area today and may trigger a few showers and thunderstorms from midday into late afternoon. Tonight and Saturday we have a large Canadian Polar high pressure area that edges into our area. This will bring much cooler temperatures, tonights low will be in the 50s and highs Saturday only in the 70s. A frontal system moves through the area late Saturday night into Sunday bringing showers and a few thunderstorms. High pressure once again follows that system so cooler temperatures are expected Monday too.
