Three years ago, the Jackson Police Department lost Officer James Bonneau during the line of duty. Officer Bonneau, 26, was shot and killed  on March 9, 2010.   On today's show, Jackson Police Chief Matt Heins provided details of a Pancake Breakfast to honor Officer Bonneau on April 13, 2013.  The breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Suggested donations are $5 per adult and$3 per child. Television writer and Co-Executive Producer of the FOX series "The Simpsons", Rob LaZebnik visited the show today.  Rob was accompanied by his wife Claire LaZebnik, author of several novels including "Same as It Never Was" and "Knitting Under the Influence".  Rob will be presenting a program tonight at the Michigan Theatre at 7pm with a special screening of "The Simpsons" episodes with a Q&A.  Claire will host a wine and chocolate Girls Night Out at the Carnegie branch of the Jackson District Library at 7pm.  On Thursday, Clare will speak on "Autism Reflections" at the First Church of the Nazarene at 1pm.  Their visit to Jackson wraps with an evening reception with Rob and Claire at the JSO Performance Hall at 7pm.  All events are free.  Other guests today include:  Jackson Mayor Martin Griffin;  EECU President and CEO Steve Cobb;  Ken Baxter and Linda Wray with the JSO Guild Jazz Night;  Pet of the Week with Kathy Brafford.

Dr. Lynda Yang , Neurosurgeon at University of Michigan Hospitals and Medical School came to JTV today to announce a new research partnership with Spring Arbor University and the Brachial Plexus Program at the University of Michigan Health System.  Next month, a research program on brachial plaxus palsies will be established on the campus of Spring Arbor University as the first ever medical research institution in Jackson County.  Dr. Yang is one of the nation's leading surgeons and researchers on brachial plexus and will begin establishing the program at SAU.  David Hockenbrocht is spearheading the funding of the program and SAU Provost  Dr. Kimberly Rupert and Faculty Liason Dr. Craig Hayward shared details of Spring Arbor's participation.
