Chucky’s Game Pick: Michigan Center at Grass Lake (girls)

MICHIGAN CENTER (13-3) @ GRASS LAKE (8-6) – Girls game: There is growing angst at MC when the Lady Cardinals learn that a true female cardinal – yes, the bird – is actually a brown and olive color and not red. These Lady Cards want new uniforms but settle for pizza and burgers at Missy’s Little Grass Shack after the game. The Warriors also head to Missy’s for dinner and a huge melee erupts between these rivals. Cooler heads prevail when someone flips all the television channels to the latest ‘Sharknado’ film. Chucky’s Game Pick: East Jackson at Napoleon (girls)

EAST JACKSON (10-3) @ NAPOLEON (12-2) – Girls game: Chucky foresees chaos in this matchup of two of the area’s best girls basketball teams. The Pirates, apparently deciding that merely winning a sporting event isn’t enough, sneak over to Sutton Road before the game and attempt to steal The Dome and take it back to Napoleon. Sadly, she leaves in shame when one of the players asks another ‘who’s grandmother is this?’ Also, it gets sort of creepy when it’s announced that Katharine Hepburn died 10 years ago. PICK: NAPOLEON

After the first 20 minutes of play, Thomas Starks led Spring Arbor with 11 points and Rob Hogans added 10 points in the first half. Bethel, ranked #20 in the NAIA polls was on a mission in the second half and started the half with a 17-5 run after six minutes and a 25-9 run through the first 10 minutes of the second half and trailing the Pilots 37-51 and a 14 point deficit. With 10:00 left, Rob Hogans tried with all his might to get the Cougars back into the game and what happened over that time was…
