Jackson Area Girl’s High School Basketball Tips Off Next Week

It ended just days ago, but now fans, athletes and parents are gearing up for what should be a great year of winter sports. Girl’s basketball in the Jackson area starts next week. A full copy of each team’s schedule is available here For our boy’s preview click here And for our full boy’s schedule click here Columbia Central finished just under .500 last season. The Golden Eagles will open their year on December, 4th in Parma. The Panthers of Western will play host for the opener of Columbia’s season. They’ll then be home on the 11th as the Titans of Lumen Christi travel to the outskirts of Brooklyn. Columbia Central finished 10-11 last season. Concord is one of many area MHSAA teams opening their season on December, 4th. Like the Golden Eagles, they’ll open on the road. They’ll be in Hanover-Horton before returning home two days later to host Grass Lake. Concord is poised to improve on last year’s 9-13 final record. It ended just days ago, but now fans, athletes and parents are gearing up for what should be a great year of winter sports. Boy’s basketball in the Jackson area starts tonight. They’ll play again on the 30th in Onsted. Napoleon posted a final record of 16-9 last season and they’ve continued their winning ways to start this season. Northwest is getting their year started on the road tonight. They’ll be at Charlotte with a 7pm tip off. They’ll be back in action on the 30th as they play the Panthers of Stockbridge. They’re hoping to bounce back after going 8-12 last season. Concord gets things started tonight and will have their hands full with Hanover-Horton. Manchester and Vandercook Lake Volleyball Teams to showdown in Regionals

By, Gabriel Schray | JTV Sports | November 6th, 2018 Jackson, Michigan -- Four local girls volleyball teams are still alive and working deep into the state playoffs this weekend. After the district rounds, Parma Western in Class B; Manchester, Hanover-Horton and Vandercook Lake in Class C - remain in the championship race. Manchester will see Vandercook in the Regional Semifinal. One of the local teams has a chance of seeing another local team in the final. Hanover Horton is squaring off with Bath in the semifinal, and the winner of the two contests will play in the final. Vandercook has lots of leadership on their team. On the court- Maddie Smith leads the offense, Kaely Howard leads the defense, while Anne Leach is effective managing the game in all aspects as their floor captain. This season has brought life to Vandercook Lake volleyball. The program made a lot of changes in the past couple years and this season it has all been coming together for them. Vandercook Schools is sending a free spectator bus that leaves at 5:45. Their theme will be USA, in honor of Election Day. A champion will be crowned on…
