Despite Mitchell Palmer scoring his first goal at the collegiate level for Albion, Ohio Wesleyan got goals from three different players to knock off the Britons, 3-1, in the second round of the Fred Myers-adidas Invitational. Brian Schaefer pounced on a loose ball in the box for Ohio Wesleyan’s first half goal, and David Robinett and Jack Shadoan struck in the second half. Palmer got his head on a corner kick by Joey Zaremski for the Albion goal. The Britons trailed 2-1 when Palmer scored in the 61st minute. Shadoan scored 12 ½ minutes later to put the game out of reach. Jason Inglis and Evan Schweizer also placed shots on goal for the Britons. Albion, 2-1 after the first week of the season, will travel to Illinois for matches against Elmhurst College (Sept. 11) and North Park University (Sept. 12).
