Jackson Magazine Honors 17 Outstanding Professionals at 19th Annual Health Care Angels Awards

The evening began with remarks from Jennie Cronkhite, Director of Operations for Jackson Publishing Co., who reflected on the extraordinary responsibilities health care professionals carry each day and the vital role they play in supporting patients, families, and the broader community. This year, more than 80 individuals were nominated by patients, family members, co-workers, and community members whose lives have been touched by their care. Following a review process conducted by a volunteer selection committee comprised of local health care and community leaders, 17 honorees were selected for recognition. Consumers Energy Announces New 20-Year Energy Plan

(September 3, 2026 11:33 AM ET) Consumers Energy today unveiled its Energy Supply Plan, a 20-year blueprint to deliver reliable and affordable energy for Michigan through an all-of-the-above mix of natural gas, solar, wind, pumped and battery storage. In an announcement, Consumers Energy said the long-term strategy reinforces their commitment to transparency in meeting Michigan’s energy needs and supporting the state’s growth. Consumers Energy presented what it's calling the most affordable energy plan that both delivers reliable service and meets Michigan’s clean energy law targets.  The company says the plan keeps costs rising less than the rate of inflation of 3% while investing in the new resources Michigan needs. “Michiganders count on us to power their lives 24/7/365. This plan takes an all-of-the-above approach that serves our state and customers today and ensures we have the energy supply for our state over the next two decades,” said Chris Fultz, Consumers Energy’s senior vice president of electric supply. “Our plan will help lower customers’ bills while powering Michigan with affordable energy.” The Energy Supply Plan includes expanded renewable energy resources and two fast-starting natural gas plants to supply reliable power to customers.
