Jackson County Cumulative Report: 14,812 COVID-19 Positive Cases and 286 Deaths

(July 19, 2021 12:00 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 12:00 PM today, there are 14,812 positive cases (cumulative), and 286 deaths (cumulative)*.     There are 13 new cases since yesterday’s report. Cumulative recovered, as of July 18: 14,445** As of July 14, there is 1 person at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatient for COVID-19.  The cumulative numbers posted on Mondays include the data from Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Recovered numbers are being posted as received.  *These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through the Michigan Department of Corrections.  Their numbers are listed under a separate category and reported by the state at Michigan Statistics. Michigan Reports 881* Coronavirus Cases, State Total Now 897,598

(July 16, 2021 5:12 PM) Michigan reported 881* coronavirus (COVID-19) positive test cases today, with the state reported total now at 896,717. Michigan is reporting 16** COVID-19-related deaths today with the state total at 19,848.   *Note on cases (07/13/2021): Today's case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the MDSS since Friday, July 9th.  Over the four days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday), the average number of new confirmed cases is ~162 per day. **The deaths announced today includes 27 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. Regular reviews of death certificate data maintained in Vital Records reporting systems are conducted by MDHHS staff two times per week. As a part of this process, records that identify COVID-19 infection as a contributing factor to death are compared against all laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS). If a death certificate is matched to a confirmed COVID-19 case and that record in the MDSS does not indicate the individual died, the MDSS record is updated to indicate the death and the appropriate local health department is notified. (July 16, 2021 10:19 AM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 10:00 AM today, there are 14,799 positive cases (cumulative), and 286 deaths (cumulative)*.     There are 5 new cases since yesterday’s report.
