"One of our main initiatives has always been increasing internet access to Jackson County residents," JDL Director Sara Tackett said. "By providing free WIFI on all public buses, we take another step in accomplishing this goal. We are always looking for ways to form community partnerships with other organizations to help area residents discover, learn, and succeed." JATA officials have installed seven of the 18 hotspots on their buses so far, and plan to install the rest so that all nine bus routes will provide WIFI by this summer. "We are happy to partner with the library on this initiative," JATA Executive Director and CEO Michael Brown said.
