Dr. Brent Ellis Continues SAU Presidency with Five-Year Extension

(May 16, 2025 10:26 AM ET)  Spring Arbor University announced today that the Board of Trustees has renewed the contract of President Dr. Brent Ellis for an additional five years, extending his tenure through 2031. Serving as president since 2013, Ellis is the longest-tenured President in the university’s 152-year history. This contract renewal will extend his tenure to 17 years of service. The announcement comes after the public launch of Ignite: The Campaign for Spring Arbor University, in September 2024. The Ignite campaign has a goal of raising $80,000,000 for the expansion and modernization of the Whiteman Gibbs Science Center, continued growth of SAU’s endowment, and support of the university’s annual fund, the Arbor Fund.
