Spring Arbor University Announces New Brand Promise:   Grow Deep Roots Spring Arbor University announced this week the launch of a new brand promise that will replace their most recent brand slogan, “Let Your Light Shine.” This new brand promise captures SAU’s commitment to fostering a deep and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ across students, alumni, and community members, cultivating academic excellence, and nurturing a close-knit community. A brand promise is a proclamation of what an institution stands for and what it promises to deliver to its community. It is a clear and compelling statement that communicates its core values and vision for what students, alumni, and friends are investing in when they decide to become a part of the Spring Arbor University community. Spring Arbor University’s new brand promise revolves around the phrase Grow Deep Roots: At Spring Arbor University, you will grow deep roots in Jesus Christ and our Christian community to thrive in a world of constant change. The process for developing this brand promise was a collaborative effort with TG Three, a higher education consulting firm that specializes in working with Christian colleges and universities. JTV Sports Jackson County Scoreboard March 30, 2024

Baseball Mott Community College 6, Jackson College 4: The Jets fell behind 3-0 but battled back tying the game in the second inning on a walk by Lucas Dawson and a fielder’s choice by Derek Tomalak. Mott took the lead in the sixth inning on a two-run sacrifice fly. Luke Micunek pitched five innings for JC striking out seven batters. Jackson (7-8 overall) will host Kellogg Community College live at 3 p.m. broadcast on JTV.  St. Francis 16, Spring Arbor 3: Seth Clothier had a home run and knocked in two runs for SAU.  St. Francis 5, Spring Arbor 2: Aiden Brunin finished with three hits and an RBI for SAU. The Cougars are 11-20 on the season.  Softball Indiana Wesleyan 4, Spring Arbor 0: Alyssa Wagner pitched a no-hitter against the Cougars at home for IW at home. Elena Jones gave up only four hits and struck out three batters for SAU.  Spring Arbor 11, Indiana Wesleyan 0: Emmalee Hamp pitched a four-hitter for SAU on the road Saturday. College Athletic Events Baseball Jackson College 12, Schoolcraft 6: Marcus Patton collected three hits and knocked in five runs as JC earned a come-from-behind nine-inning win at home Thursday over Schoolcraft. Patton hit a three-run homer in the third inning, doubled in the seventh to score another run and singled again in the eighth for his fifth RBI for Jackson College (11-11). Harry Major finished with four hits and Hayden Lowe collected three hits for JC. Ethan Ianni earned the pitching win for the Jets pitching 6.1 innings and striking out eight batters. Jackson College hosts Mott Community College Saturday at 1 p.m. for a nine-inning contest.  Spring Arbor 7, St. Francis 4: The Cougars jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening innings and held on for the home victory. Connor Dee finished with a pair of hits and knocked in three runs in the win for SAU. The Cougars finished with 12 hits with multiple hits by Ben Redfield, Bryce Richey, Ryan Gonzalez, and Jaeden Rodriguez.
