Art Moehn Auto Group Weekend Basketball Scoreboard/Recap By David Rice | JTV Sports   HIGHLIGHTS & RECAP FROM HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL OF FRIDAY FEBRUARY 14 2020 18 games in the Jackson-area on Valentine’s Day this past Friday, if you skipped an expensive dinner reservation to watch some High School Basketball, you made the right decision. There were some great games on Friday, here’s the JTV Sports Weekend Recap:   BOYS RECAP Jackson defeats Tecumseh 69-52 The Vikings jumped out to a 31-21 halftime lead and never looked back. Daivion Boleware, Damarion Samuels and LeRay Griffin each scored 16 points to lead Jackson. Jackson improves to 5-10 overall and 4-7 in SEC White play.   Northwest defeats Lumen Christi 55-43 NW led at halftime 27-10 and held off Lumen Christi late in the game to secure an important I-8 conference win. Dawson White scored 12 points and added 5 assists to lead the Mounties. Joe Frederickson pitched in 11 points and 6 steals.   Coldwater defeats Parma Western 63-51 Makyle Doss, who was our JTV Sports Player of The Week, scored 14 points to lead the Panthers. Western second, H-H third at Western Invitational

Hanover-Horton High School golfer Brogan Brockie tied for medalist honors with a 75 at the Western Invitational Friday at Arbor Hills Golf Club.  Photo by Jeff Steers/JTV Sports   By Jeff Steers                                                                                   JTV Sports   Mother Nature may have been the overall winner Friday at the 2019 Western Invitational at Arbor Hills Golf Club in Jackson. Temperatures in the mid-40, some light rain and cold greeted golfers Friday morning. Marshall High School won the event with a four-man total of 318. The Redhawks are ranked No. 3 in Division 2 as ranked by coaches. Host school Western finished second (322), Hanover-Horton placed third (328), Lumen Christi was fifth (333) and Jackson placed sixth (336). Concord finished ninth (353), Western B finished 12th (367), Northwest was 13th (386), and Grass Lake placed 16th (412). Eighteen team competed in the annual event hosted by Western High School. Brett Casto of Western and Brogan Brockie of Hanover-Horton tied for medalist honors with three other golfers with a 3-over-par 75.
