BASEBALL
CROSSROADS LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
Spring Arbor Univ. 6, Saint Francis 2
Grass Lake 7, Hanover Horton 0: Luke Guthrie batted four hits for the Warriors in the shutout win. Collin Knight threw five innings on the hill, allowing just two hits.
Grass Lake 12, Hanover Horton 1: Cam Prater and Brayden Wayne each batted three hits to lead the Warriors in game two. Luke Guthrie and Noah Orban each added two hits. GL sweeps the Comets and is now 14-3-1 overall.
Napoleon 19, Vandercook Lake 2: Zavier Skog and Tristin Russell each batted two hits in game one for the Pirates. Josh Flack earned the win, tossing seven strikeouts and allowing just one hit in the three-inning game.
Napoleon 16, Vandercook Lake 1: Four different Pirates batted two hits each in the game two win as they swept the Jayhawks. JJ Dillay was the winning pitcher, throwing five strikeouts in four innings. Napoleon improves to 9-6 overall.
Michigan Center 11, Addison 0: The Cardinals scored eight runs in the 4th inning to ice the game and win in a five-inning mercy rule. Miles Stewart batted 4-4 with an RBI, and Brennan Forward added three hits with three RBIs for MC. Davin DeLise was the winning pitcher, throwing six strikeouts.
Michigan Center 12, Addison 7: Brennan Forward led the lineup in game two with three hits and two RBIs for the Cardinals. MC is now 9-8 overall and snaps a four-game losing streak by sweeping Addison.
Columbia Central 14, East Jackson 0: Hayden Haynes drove in five runs on his two hits to lead the Golden Eagles in game one. Lukas Calhoun also batted two hits, and Blayden Steller earned the pitching win. CC’s three pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter.
Columbia Central 18, East Jackson 0: Chase Dukate and Blayden Steller each batted three hits for CC as they swept the Trojans at home. The Golden Eagles also threw a no-hitter in game two, allowing zero total hits between both games. CC has now won 11 straight games and is 17-2 overall.
Parma Western 4, Hudson 2: Four different Panthers combined for the team’s four hits in game one. Andrew Parrott was the winning pitcher, throwing a whopping 14 strikeouts.
Parma Western 3, Hudson 0: Chase Budd led the Panthers lineup with two hits. Brody Parrott had a fantastic outing on the mound, throwing 14 strikeouts and allowing just one hit in a complete game. Western has now won seven straight games and is 16-1-1 overall, ranked #17 in D2.

Columbia Central 12, East Jackson 0: Kelsey Fausz batted 3-3 with 3 RBIs to lead the Golden Eagles in game one. Raell Bice and McKenna Hoskins each added two hits, with Bice driving in three runs. Hailey Wetherby earned the win in the circle, throwing 11 strikeouts.
Columbia Central 14, East Jackson 0: Camden Knapp with an exceptional pitching performance led CC in game two to a sweep over EJ. Knapp threw 10 strikeouts and allowed just two hits in six innings. Raell Bice batted 3-3 with 2 RBIs, and four others batted two hits each. The 4th-ranked Golden Eagles are still undefeated, now at 16-0 overall.
Grass Lake 17, Hanover Horton 4: GL batted 17 hits as a team to go with their 17 runs. Kennedy Collins and Makenzie Hilberer led the Warriors lineup with three hits each, and four others added two hits each.
Hanover Horton 13, Grass Lake 11: The bats for both teams were red hot in game two, with GL outhitting the Comets 18-14 for team totals. HH scored four runs in the 7th inning to take the lead and split the Cascades doubleheader. Ava Smith and Holly Zantop each had three hits for the Comets. Grass Lake is now 14-2 and HH improves to 11-7.
Michigan Center 18, Addison 9: Lilly Nutt completed the cycle to lead the Cardinals in game one, batting 4-5 with 6 RBIs. Nora Fleming batted 3-5 with 4 RBIs, and five others batted two hits each as MC had 18 total hits. Michigan Center splits the doubleheader and is now 8-4 overall.

Grass Lake 2, Columbia Central 1: The Warriors scored one goal in each of the two halves to get the home win on Friday, they have now defeated CC in both matchups this season. Adeline Stormont and Chloe Lesnick scored the goals for GL, and Mara Henry scored the Columbia Central goal. Grass Lake has now won three straight games and is 7-1-2 overall.

BOYS GOLF
AA Christian at Jackson Christian (Ella Sharp Park GC): JCS beat Ann Arbor Christian, 175-226, in a non-conference dual meet on the back nine at Sharp Park GC. The Royals got a 39 from Nate Locke, while Aidan Earnst shot a 42, and Jayden Schnitkey placed third with a 45.
TRACK & FIELD
Manchester Metrics Relay: The host Dutchmen won the relays and field events invitational on the boys side, with Grass Lake and Michigan Center rounding out the top five. The Napoleon girls finished 2nd place by just half a point (92) to Sand Creek (92.5). Full results here
Stockbridge Invite: Parma Western’s boys team finished the best out of the Jackson-area schools participating, finishing in 4th place. The Concord girls took home first place, edging out Dundee by just 4.5 points. Full results here
