MHSAA SOFTBALL DISTRICTS

D3 at Grass Lake:

Grass Lake 10, Michigan Center 0 – Morgan Conrad threw a perfect game in the circle for the Warriors in the semifinal. Emily Brown batted 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs, and Leilah Smith and Bree Salts each batted two hits.

Stockbridge 16, East Jackson 6

DISTRICT FINAL – Grass Lake 11, Stockbridge 1 – After an early home run by SHS, Grass Lake dominated from there on. Morgan Conrad retired 13 in a row and finished with 16 strikeouts in the circle and allowed just two hits. Emily Brown, Leilah Smith, and Reese Lape each had two hits for the Warriors. GL will face the Ottawa Lake Whiteford district champion next week in the Regional Semifinal at Clinton.

D3 at Napoleon:

Columbia Central 3, Napoleon 1 – Raell Bice and Hailey Wetherby each batted two hits to lead the Golden Eagles in the semifinals. Wetherby also struck out 16 batters pitching and allowed just two hits.

Clinton 8, Onsted 0

DISTRICT FINAL – Columbia Central 6, Clinton 2 – Hailey Wetherby pitched the entirety of the game for CCHS, only giving up 2 runs while racking up 10 strikeouts. At the plate she had 2 hits including a 2-RBI double and scored twice as a runner. Leelyn Brown and Gianna Evans each added two hits. CC will face the Sand Creek district champion in the Regional Semifinal next week at Clinton.

D4 at Reading:

Camden-Frontier 11, Tekonsha 7

MHSAA GIRLS SOCCER DISTRICT FINALS

D2 at Marshall: Adrian 5, Western 2

D4 at Lumen Christi: Lumen Christi 3, Leslie 0 – LC advances to the Regional Semifinal on Tuesday 6/3 at Lansing Christian HS at 5pm.

MHSAA GIRLS TENNIS STATE FINALS

D4 at Midland: Both Columbia Central and Lumen Christi’s seasons came to an end today in Day 1 of the State Finals at Midland Tennis Center, with both schools falling in both singles and doubles.

D3 at Univ. of Michigan: Western had multiple girls advance in singles and doubles and will play in Day 2 of the finals at U of M Saturday.
